A start of our 4-days-long journey by a motor boat on Moma river near Sasyr . Originally, we expected to meet people from Momsky NP with a catamaran and to continue on a faster river closer to mountains (Tirekhtiakh) to Khonuu (without motor). The catamaran was broken and we even did not meet at that place, so we went right to Sasyr, where we finally met.

Moma river is quite slow so a motor boat was necessary. But it was sometimes so shallow, that we could not use the motor to prevent it from breaking.

We were not good fishermen, but nets of local people proved to be very efficient.

Approx. five catches in 15 minutes in one net ... that's quite good.
