Kjuerter valley that leads to
Pobeda mountain

The same valley 3 days later. Well, we
did not expect snow in the altitude of 1000m in July. But the change of
the scenery was beautiful.

|
There is no trail in Kjuerter
valley that would lead to Pobeda, so one has to try to find the optimal
path.
|
Well, climbing up the waterfall was not
the optimal path...

|
Probably the easiest route to Pobeda
crosses the upper part of Obruchev glacier and goes up (approx. to the
right from the middle of this picture) over the snow and the ice to the
ridge. Then about 200m back on a jagged ridge is the top.

Pobeda ridge is jagged, with lots of
sharp and loose stones. It is not a climb for pleasure.
