Lower part of Sokh valley

In our driver's house in the village of Sokh. Our very kind drive and host with his children on the left with our group missing me.

Children of our host. Digital camera seems to at least partially replace the great popularity of polaroid cameras in remote areas of all former USSR.

The road from from from Sokh to Kalai Makhmud valley along Sokh river is quite good (although not all the time as good as here). UAZ minibus in good condiotion (not as our) or small UAZik jeep and generally all 4WD cars should not have problems reaching the Kalai Makhmud valley.

View from teahouse at the main (and the only) sqare in the small town of Isfana. This is the way back already.

By regular bus from Isfana (Kyrgyzstan) to Proletarsk (Tajikistan). The bus was even not stopped on the quite relaxed Kyrgyz - Tajik boder (as opposed to every Uzbek border). But it is stopped and checked sometimes.
