Near Kayser airstrip, the river down is Zuid (later flows into Lucie).

One of the people that maintain airstrip in Kayser. They are of Maroons - descendants of former slaves from Africa. At Kayser, they seemed to maintain the airstrip and the new tourist lodges, returning every couple of months to Paramaribo to their families there. They didn't seem to be as intrested in the jungle around as we were.

New tourist lodges at Kayser. We were told, that tourists arrive here mostly e.g. for 3 days for fishing, but not very often I guess.

The first cayman we saw. They are afraid  generally, so do not move and maybe think, they they will not be seen.

We went till about 1 meter close to them, not more for sure.
