Mishmi house about 1 hr before Glow lake.
This house and that at Glow lake seem to be the only houses in this area. Russian military map shows more settlements but people apparetly moved down from jungle to Wakro.

House of Mishmi before Glow lake. It lies just after the pass (altitude 1353m, GPS N 27°42.844´, E 96°26.772´).

Lohit river in Lohit district. This river would be interesting for kayak, canoe or even smaller raft (if there is more water). 200km in nice jungle canyons.

Walong village

Circle Officer at Walong, intelligent and helpful man

Tilam, the place with hot springs, next to Lohit river. This is the last place where you can get by road without any special permit (that foreigner would not get anyway) as the border with China is about 20 km to north (at Kibithoo) and boder with Myanmar is about 30 km to east as well.

Hot springs at Tilam. It's interesting that there are pine mountain forests in that area like 1000-2000m above  e.g. in Tawang area). This would genereally be great area for trekking (plus starting point for descent of Lohit river).
Alt 1155m, GPS N 28°09.777´, E 97°01.922´

Village of Dong, said to be the most eastern village of India, comprises of just about 3 huts. It's just over the bridge from hot springs.
