Village of Chander, about 2 hours up by jeep road from Dirang. Good jeep road ends here. The road up actually starts about 5 km before old Dirang from the main Bomdila-Dirang-Tawang road.

The place where our jeep ended (Tata Sumo with not good tyres), about 2hrs of walking before Larjab.

The place where our jeep ended and we caught first leeches.

Larjab, just couple of huts without any people at that time. Old not very good jeep road ends here.

Just after Poshing La pass, first view of distant Gorichen mountain, on the border with China.

Gorichen mountain, about 6500m. Untill 2009 probably climbed only once or twice by Indian Army, no foreigners. One of the goals of our trek was to try this access path, that avoids the village of Mago from west, where Indian army is stationed. Although Indian army in Mago was OK, with our general Arunachal Pradesh permit (stating Bomdila, Tawang etc...), it might be possibly different with different commander there.
